Phoronix recently ran a survey asking its readers what they dislike about Ubuntu. Apparently, they really, really hate Unity. Unity inspires a love it or hate it reaction, but it looks like hate is so far predominating. -JM

Wine Breaks Audio For Windows Games In Ubuntu

It seems that the latest version of Wine, 1.3.25, breaks audio support for Windows apps running in Ubuntu. So if you’re using Wine in Ubuntu, I suggest waiting to upgrade until the issue is resolved. -JM
