The Apple iPad 2 on March 11

Apple officially announced the iPad 2 today, with availability beginning on March 11th.

It’s really an incremental upgrade, despite the addition of the front and back cameras – same screen size, same resolution, same storage capacities, same wireless capabilities (though with Verizon in addition to AT&T).  And the pricing is exactly the same as the previous model. Kind of a downer.

If you want (and can afford) an iPad, Generation 2 is definitely an improvement over Generation 1, but I still think that a netbook offers greater utility for less money. But to each his own, I suppose.

I purchased a month of 3G access and it keeps knocking me off especially when looking at maps. Another question – since I can’t download Adobe what would you suggest? Thank you Dianne

  2. Jonathan Moeller says:

It depends on your area and the cell coverage – you might want to take it up with AT&T/Verizon.

Which Adobe application do you need?

  3. Janet Egger says:

I can’t find how to get into my contacts to edit numbers!
