It looks like HP is refusing to make any Windows RT tablets due to the Microsoft Surface.
(Appropriately enough, Windows on ARM RT is shortened to WART.)
Apparently, Microsoft invited its OEM partners to work up Windows RT tablet prototypes and then claimed their designs for its own. Considering that the Windows RT version of the Surface is $600 ($100 more expensive than the comparable iPad model), it seems that the Surface is destined to fail. So now might be a good time to brush up on Android development skills.
