    JM,
I picked up The Ubuntu Beginners Guide recently. I appreciate your straightforward approach. I’m a long time programming geek, so what I’m usually wanting is defs of terminology and accurate examples along with terse explanations. I loved this book. I’ve also picked up “Ubuntu Desktop”. Right now I’m interested in more detail on Apache 2, Tomcat, Python, and more on web server development and management. Can you give me recommendations for reading on any or all of these subjects?

    JM,
One more thought. There were a number of typos in Ubuntu Beginners Guide. I usually assume an author already knows what the typos are, but I’m wondering whether you’d like a list of references?

    Hi Occ,

I’m glad you found the book useful!

If you have an older edition, it probably has more typos – I can usually scrub out a few more with every new edition. But if you want to send me the list, I’ll take a look at it and double-check.

    Thanks!
