The Thousandth Cake
Recently, one of my books, The $0.99 Ubuntu Beginner’s Guide, reached its 1000th sale.
My girlfriend, to celebrate the occasion, decided to make a cake. And not just any cake, either. No, she made a properly formatted cake:
How many cakes with properly formatted HTML do you see nowadays? Not many, that’s for sure – it’s sad how many would-be chefs do not bother to close their HTML tags while baking.
It was delicious.

Actually, I have a friend who got married about a year ago, and his wedding cake (you know, since grooms get their own cake) had the cake ingredients printed on it in properly formatted html. But perhaps my cake experience is skewed since I mostly only hang out with geeks.
