Quite by accident, it seems, I’m doing National Novel Writing Month. At least informally.
I’ve been writing (or at least attempting to write) since 1997 or so. And during that time I’ve never done NaNoWriMo. It just never worked out – I tended to write new books either in the summer or after New Year’s.
This year, though, I just started writing “Soul of Dragons.” And the goal of NaNoWriMo is 50,000 words in November, right? As of right now I have 13,500 words written of “Soul of Dragons.” So if I do 50,000 words, I want about 63,500 words on the morning of December 1st. That comes to about 1500 words a day for the next 30 days. Do I have that in me?
Let’s find out.
