  • I suspect you’ve already answered this in some post from long ago but I can’t find it and I’m curious.

Is there a reason you don’t show her eyes and above on the covers or is it just an interesting stylistic thingy. With Nadia, we don’t even get to see her neck and above.

It’s mostly practical, since it lets you use a different stock image model for each cover. It is possible to find series of the same stock model wearing the same outfit in different poses, but it’s rarely more than eight or nine images, and with a really long series in the series you would wind up reusing the same model image over and over again.

  • That’s really clever.

    The covers are cool, nonetheless.

  • This is kind of random, but I was wondering how big is Caina’s circle? How many Ghosts are there in Istarinmul? Does she maintain any agents outside the capital, possibly from when she sold coffee or her own travels, or does she depend on Nasser for that information?

The circle doesn’t really extend very far outside of the city proper, but Agabyzus does have informants and people who owe him “favors” everywhere, and Caina relies on him a lot, and he keeps things running when she’s out of the city.
