As an aside, I looked over the books I bought in the last year the other day. The thing that popped out at me was that the vast majority of money I spent was on books that were self-published. I spend 3 to 5 times more on self-published books than I do on books from traditional publishers. Not sure if that is mostly me or what.
I think that self publishing is where all the dynamism is right now. Traditional publishing really has become ossified and all the growth is with self publishing.
That screen shot makes it looks like average review of 4 stars. Since that screenshot, there’s been one more review that bumped it to 4.3 and the screenshot would look like 4.5 stars.

I think it got a 3 star and a 5 star within the same 24 hour span which caused the average to change quickly.
I was experimenting with BookBub’s contextual ads combined with Freebooksy, and it worked a LOT better than I thought it would.
