  1. I was just wondering are the elder people elves? And we’re they evil? Also will you be returning to this story? I really liked the series. If you do I think a book on the fall of the old empire and the seeress would be good.

    1. Thanks! I’m glad you liked them. I’m hoping to return to the series sometime in 2014.

The Elder People were basically what we think of as elves. Like humans, they weren’t all good and all bad. Unfortunately, they became much worse after the Old Empire started using astral magic and summoning demons, since the Elder People then couldn’t use astral magic without getting possessed and going insane.

  2. I love your books. You are my favorite author and I am amazed by the fact that you write so quickly and have so many wonderful books (thank the gods for that, as Caina would say <3 ) but just to make sure I'm not missing out on anything, I have to ask:
This series ends on the 8th book so far right? There aren't any short stories or anything right? Oh, and are you planning to write more books about this series? (meaning the Third soul series, of course)
Also, I must know HOW IN THE WORLD DO YOU HAVE SO MANY AWESOME IDEAS??!! For example I love the fact that you have a lot of unexpected twists. My favorite part, quote, idea, whatever it is, was when you described how the Sifter saw the world as a tapestry and every…well practically every living thing I guess, was one string. It inspires me a lot and I find that very accurate, to my own surprise. I don't believe in destiny or fate and all that but…I find myself marveling over your creativeness in writing and mulling over some things. I admire Caina of course for her cleverness and skills. It is a pity Corvalis died but maybe something will happen between Caina and Kylon…? 😀 I very much hope so. I am just starting to read all your other books and I sometimes wonder if you do not have a demon inside you because your skills are definitely not earthly. 😉 Just wanted to say you are awesome and all…good luck writing your next books (especially the Ghosts series <3)

    1. Well, I hope I don’t have a demon inside of me. 🙂

For the Sifter, I wanted Caina to have a really alien foe, something she had never faced before. If the Sifter is immortal, it would see time differently than humans do. After all, the average human will see only sixty to eighty years of time, but to something like the Sifter, the five thousand years of recorded human history would seem like an idle afternoon.

I do intend to return to THE THIRD SOUL, but not yet. I think I learned in 2014 that I only have enough mental steam to do two series at once, so right now it’s FROSTBORN and GHOST EXILE.

Thanks for the kind words about the books! I’m glad you liked them. 🙂

      1. Haha thank goodness that you are writing the ghost series Ghost Exile series now <3 I really love them…as to Frostborn…well all the more reason to read it first. 😀

  3. Thanks for the “Iron rules”. It’s a bummer you can’t go on, but I understand that the responsibilities of an awesome author must be…tiring. I don’t know if that’s the right word for it but I know what you mean 😉 Thx anyway 🙂
