Now that GHOST IN THE SUN is out, my next project is DRAGONSKULL: SHIELD OF THE KNIGHT, the second book of the DRAGONSKULL epic fantasy series.<\/p>\n
I am 10,000 words into the rough draft. If all goes well I hope it will be out in December.<\/p>\n

\u201cYes, let\u2019s go talk to Crake,\u201d said Gareth. \u201cWe ought to take him hunting.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n \u201cThere\u2019s no game within twenty-five miles of Cintarra,\u201d said Philip. He turned his horse to ride south down the column, and Gareth followed. \u201cYou might shoot some freeholder\u2019s pig, and then the Dux will have to pay compensation.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n \u201cNot hunting, then,\u201d said Gareth.<\/em><\/p>\n \u201cFishing,\u201d said Philip. <\/em><\/p>\n Gareth sighed. \u201cI am not going fishing with Crake.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n \u201cWhy not?\u201d said Philip.<\/em><\/p>\n \u201cBecause he never shuts up about it,\u201d said Gareth. Philip opened his mouth, and Gareth leveled a finger. \u201cYes, I know, I know. Crake is my brother knight and comrade-in-arms and we\u2019ve all gone through great dangers together. But he still won\u2019t shut up sometimes.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n \u201cWe should be grateful for that,\u201d said Philip.<\/em><\/p>\n \u201cWhat?
