I&#8217;ve been busying finishing up SEVENFOLD SWORD: SHADOW, and 2.) I haven&#8217;t read that many interesting articles lately. But! I&#8217;ve accumulated enough to do an Interesting Links post.<\/p>\n<p>-I never get offended when people don&#8217;t read my books:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/thezaxis.co\/2018\/02\/27\/why-its-totally-okay-if-you-havent-read-my-books-and-why-its-almost-always-okay-to-not-read-someones-book\/\">Why it\u2019s Totally Okay if You Haven\u2019t Read My Books (and Why it\u2019s Almost Always Okay to Not Read Someone\u2019s Book)<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>-Some good advice for writers here, and I agree with most of it:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/kobowritinglife.com\/2018\/02\/19\/i-cant-imagine-giving-up-the-control-i-now-have-over-my-books-and-career\/\">\u201cI can\u2019t imagine giving up the control I now have over my books and career.\u201d\u00a0<\/a><\/p>\n<p>-Chasing an Amazon sales rank is probably a waste of time: <a href=\"http:\/\/jakonrath.blogspot.com\/2018\/01\/amazon-ranking-and-bestseller-lists.html\">Amazon Ranking &amp; Bestseller Lists: What&#8217;s The Deal<\/a>?<\/p>\n<p>-This is very true (he said, working on the 20th book featuring the same main character): <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thecreativepenn.com\/2018\/02\/07\/why-writing-in-a-series-will-make-you-more-money-as-a-writer\/\">Why Writing In A Series Will Make You More Money As A Writer<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>-I agree with this. Also, sriracha sauce is excellent on sub sandwiches: <a href=\"http:\/\/theweek.com\/articles\/753620\/sriracha-hot-sauce-guy-american-hero\">The Sriracha Hot Sauce Guy Is An American Hero<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>-It&#8217;s always best to deal with disputes privately rather than adjudicating them through the mob of social media. Though if you self-publish, you get to pick your own cover:\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.thepassivevoice.com\/2018\/02\/fantasy-author-terry-goodkind-wants-everyone-to-know-how-much-he-hates-his-new-novels-cover-art\/\">Fantasy Author Terry Goodkind Wants Everyone to Know How Much He Hates His New Novel\u2019s Cover Art<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>-I&#8217;ve never read a Mickey Spillane book, but I think he had the right attitude towards writing fiction: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.thepassivevoice.com\/2018\/03\/mickey-spillanes-work-keeps-coming-12-years-after-his-death\/\">Mickey Spillane&#8217;s Work Keeps Coming, 12 Years After His Death<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>-JM<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I haven&#8217;t done an Interesting Links post for a couple of weeks because 1.)
