Those who fail the Testing are never seen again.
And now the Magisters of the Conclave have come to take Rachaelis to undertake the Testing. And there she shall face perils to both her body and her sanity.
And creatures that yearn to devour her soul…

I found you from an Amazon UK recommendation. I now have nearly all your fantasy books. I’ve read Rachaelis’ series (which I literally devoured over 1.5 days), I’m now on Ghosts in the Storm after having read all the others and Demonsouled is next.
I have been dithering over whether to buy your books for months and when I saw some were up there for free, I instantly downloaded them. I now regret not getting them MONTHS ago. I’m sooo sad now I’ve nearly finished the latest Caina novel and I have to say that you NEED to write more of her novels!
Hi Sarrie!
Thanks for the kind words about THE GHOSTS. I have a new GHOSTS novella, GHOST DAGGER, that will be coming out sometime in September. After that, I hope to start writing the next book in the GHOSTS series, GHOST IN THE STONE, after I clear my plate of a few other projects.

I call say that your stories amaze and delight me,having grown with abilities for which there sometimes no rational or scietfic explanations !!!!!!!!
I have always life in the fringes of society where there , feeling can not reach me
Your stories give me faith that there are others out there.
Like me and that they are just as defenisive, getting ridiculed has a way of stopping or making us shut downward move on till we find a place that can we can buffer the emmotions that assault us at every public place
THAK YOU THANK YOU THANK THANK YOU
Thanks!
Hello. Read all the ghost books i love caina camt wait for the ghost in the stone. Now just deciding what else of yours to read. Think im going to start with the testing
Hi Michael,
Thanks for the kind words about THE GHOSTS books!
As of right now, I’m on chapter 23 of 27 of the rough draft for GHOST IN THE STONE. If all goes well, I should have it wrapped up by the end of October or the beginning of November.
I just finished Ghost in the Stone about an hour ago. I really enjoyed the story, as I have enjoyed the entire series of Caina and the Ghosts. I am very excited for Ghost in the Forge, as the end of Stone really caught my attention. I appreciate having such an engaging and interesting character to look forward to reading about. I found this series by searching for something new to read, and I am glad I found it. I am going to start on your other collections while I wait for Forge to be published. I am now a devoted fan of your writing. Thank you.
Thank you! I’m glad you liked it.
People have really responded well to the potential love interest in GHOST IN THE STONE, so I’m glad I put that in. If all goes well, I’m hoping to start GHOST IN THE FORGE early in 2013.
Do you have a better idea of when Ghost In The Forge is coming out? I just finished The Ghost series and can hardly contain myself for the next book!
Thank You,
Melissa
Hi Melissa,
I’m going to start writing GHOST IN THE FORGE before the end of January, as soon as I finish SOUL OF SKULLS. So if all goes well, it should be out by summer.

I havet read all of your books and can’t decide which series is best. Waiting for ghost in the forge. Thanks for the free ebooks to get us started.

Thanks for the kind words about the books! I hope to have more ready soon.

Pingback: A MEMORY OF LIGHT – a spoiler-filled review | Jonathan Moeller, Pulp Writer
I read Ghost in the Storm and loved it so now I’m working my way through the rest of the series.
Since the first book I’ve had a question about the ranking system for the ghosts.
Caina is a nightfighter and Halfdan is a circlemaster, but what are the other ranks and where does Caina stand in terms of authority inside the ghosts?
If this gets a reply that answers my question I thank you for your time.
Hi Colton,
Thanks for the kind words about the books!
That is a good question, and I will answer it on Saturday for my weekly Reader Question Day. I’ll post a link here when it’s ready.
Here is the answer to your question:

i loved demonsouled and the ghost, but the other two books were sort of weir. i can’t wait for soul of swords and ghost in the ashes!
Glad you liked them! I’m almost done with the rough draft for SOUL OF SWORDS.
TOWER OF ENDLESS WORLDS is definitely the weirdest thing I’ve written, though some of the short stories in my $1.99 DARK FANTASY collections come a bit close.
