Hi John like most I started with the Frostborn and I wish you would make the last three longer. But once I got caught up I bought demonsouled and Mazael and Ridmark are my heros lol. Third soul series read and looking forward to more of them, halfway through the ghost series. I guess what I am saying is your my favorite author now and I was interested in the demonsouled books you have in hardback. I read in the short discription that you had some published. Just wondering if you had any signed to sell. Would love to buy them all in hardback but I doubght that will happen, thank you for countless hours of nail biteing reading.

I don’t have any signed hardbacks, I’m afraid. I’ve looked into doing hardbacks of some of my later books, but it wouldn’t be terribly economical – like $35 a copy and up.

I have just finished ‘Ghost in the Flames’ and I am really enjoying the series so far. You have a knack for action scenes and can really move the story along. I laughed out loud at the bathhouse scene . The only niggle is the amount of grammatical errors, more in this book than the first, what’s that all about?

I have bought and read everyone of ur books. I love mazael and caina and both series would make great movies or video games or even a tv series. I think ridley scott word do wonders with mazael and co in the demonsouled series. U have helped me through a lot of sleepless nights thankyou and can not wait for more just finished ghost in the stone and what a bloody cliffhanger to leave it on.

The endless tower series god i was beyond gutted it ended i want to know more. How ali and lithon rebuild the high kingdoms what becomes of conmager maybe you could do a stand alone novella of 10-30 years later that would do me nicely.
Anyway il stop blabbering on but u have a fan in me and if u would like any opinions on anything please dont hesitate to drop me an email

    Thankyou

      Hi Michael,

Thanks for the kind words about the books! I’m glad you liked them.

As for the TOWER OF ENDLESS WORLDS books, I’m not entirely sure what would come next. I do know that the High Kingdoms would be a very different place. They had been a medieval society, but Marugon exposed their people (at least those who survived) to a much higher level of technology, and he brought a lot of stuff from Earth. Someone would have figured out how to reverse-engineer at least some of it. So the High Kingdoms would have at least a 18th or 19th century level of technology – perhaps even something like a steampunk world.

The ending of GHOST IN THE STONE was fun to write. I’m working on SOUL OF SKULLS right now, but if all goes well I should start the next GHOST book in January or February.

      Thanks,

      Jon Moeller

I stumbled across your book one day while searching amazon, and I must say, I was instantly hooked. I’ve read your entire Ghost series in the past week, I could barely put it down.
Despite that, I found some things irritating with your writing. I am, by no means, a master at critique, but regard myself as a… connoisseur, of books I suppose. And being a writer myself, I can honestly say, there is no bad feedback if its constructive.
Minor points– you often reuse phrases and distinctive words repeatedly. Also, I would almost think you a fan of comic books, for the way you create situations to transition from one to the next.
But again, these are minor distractions, for the over all storyline you’ve created is magnificent, fun, and enjoyable. Truly, a great series, and I look forward to your next work.

Thanks! I’m glad you liked the books.

I do tend to reuse words. With the last couple of books, I’ve kept a list of banned words and phrases I don’t allow myself to use (grimaced, after all, smirked, etc.), and then do a Word search at the end of the book to make sure I didn’t use them more than five times.

I think THE GHOSTS would transition well to a comic-book format. I have to admit that I sometimes see the characters in anime form in my head as I write.

I do think the books have gotten better as I’ve gone along, but that might be from sheer amount of practice. I wrote DEMONSOULED in 2001, and I’ve done a lot of writing since then. So I hope I’ve gotten at least a bit better. πŸ™‚

    Hi.

I love your works. Started reading them on my iPhone a couple of weeks ago, finished the Demonsouled, Ghost and Third Soul series’ (and a couple of short stories). (I had to buy 1 on Smashwords, got the rest on itunes) Will start the Tower series today or tomorrow. My favorite is the Demonsouled. IMHO more (and more detailed) characters, more realistic (if Fantasy can be realistic) consistency in plot lines. This reader became more “involved” with the characters in that series (as opposed to the others). Others were good but I liked Demonsouled the best. Good luck on all your writing. Can’t wait for the next in any series to come out.

    I remain,

      Hi Pepe,

Thanks for the kind words about the books! I’m glad you like them.

I definitely would like non-English translations. That said, a good translator is *expensive* – translating a novel-length work can be anywhere from $5000 to $15000, depending on the translator. So for now, a non-English translation isn’t feasible for me to do.

I have just finished reading the first two books in your “Ghosts” series. They are magical and filled with the most delightful intrigue! Now I am about to download your third book, “Ghost in the Blood”. I have read over some of your reviews, and as far as I am concerned, a few spelling errors or repetition of word simply DON’T matter. What does matter is that you write the most intriguing book of any author I have come across in a very long time! Please keep doing what you do best! Jan T.

Thanks for the kind words about the books! I’m glad you liked them.

Ridmark does come to something of an internal crisis point in FROSTBORN: THE IRON TOWER.

I like to build in time in case something unexpected comes up. Here in Real Life I have a bunch of responsibilities than can come up unexpectedly (I had a bunch last month), and those can take precedence. So I find it’s best to build in some extra time in case of disaster.

Well that’s good you never know something might happen, though in the mean time keep stockpiling those good ideas of yours in your head!

If all goes well, I’m hoping to get at least a few chapters into the rough draft of the next FROSTBORN book before the end of the year.

In GHOST IN THE HUNT, Caina is going to get out of Istarinmul and see some of the adjoining regions. Not under relaxing conditions, of course. πŸ™‚

I love these books! I can’t get enough. The only problem I have is deciding which one is better Frostborn or deamonsouled….

Thanks! I’m going to write both more FROSTBORN and DEMONSOULED books, so hopefully this will not remain a dilemma for long. πŸ™‚

Jonathan. I have just discovered your books and I am in the process of reading Frostborn. It is wonderful. You have a wonderful talent and by the look of your repotoir I will have plenty of reading for the foreseeable future. One thing I noticed with your e-books is the errors in the publishing. I am not trying to be nasty but hope to offer some help. I have done some proof reading training. And would be happy to help with that if it helped you. The only reward I would expect would be knowing I was helping with a book I would be dying to read. Email me if you think I can help. πŸ™‚

Thanks for the kind words! I’m glad you liked the Frostborn books. The typo thing is a problem – I’ve had bad luck with a number of proofreaders, but hope to have someone hired soon.

Hanging on with “baited breath” for the next book :”Frostborne The False King” I am so hooked! Please, please let me know when that book is out through Google Play. Will buy immediately. I have read the entire series of the Frostborne and your books are true to the essence of the plot of your characters. You are a very talented writer.
I have enjoyed this series more than any other books I have downloaded on Google play (and I have downloaded and lot of books). I hope to hear from you soon!

Thanks for the kind words! I’m glad you enjoyed the FROSTBORN books. If all goes well, I should be able to start working on THE FALSE KING in a few weeks and have it out this summer.

FYI, the confirmation email for the newsletter is being marked as SPAM (by both outlook.com and McAfee Anti-Spam filter).

You should probably add more text in the mail, since the “text to link” is not very high, or include Jonathan Moeller in the subject line.

I am eager for your book 14 of the frostborn series. Hurry up mid 2017! The end is near and yet so much to be done, nothing else is quite appealing to read at the moment, you are an evil man Jonathan!

Mr. Moeller, your writing is simply amazing. Your characters draw you in quickly and completely. My favorites are Ridmark, Nadia and Morigna. While Jager is I guess more of a minor character he is certainly fun. Thank you so much for the quality entertainment, I have thoroughly enjoyed all your stories but regrettably have now finished them all after Shadow Prison. I hope as you mentioned we will see more of Frostborn cast. The way you tied everything up in Shadow Prison was righteously fun! What about Cloak Games, it seems there are many (hopefully) tales to spin in that reality? Anyway, how you do it is beyond me, multiple jobs and you churn out quality fiction like a machine, (a very special AI of course). Do you sleep? Finally I think you will be named among the greats in your field one day. Why you are not already is criminal. My very best and true thanks for all the fun!

Thanks for the kind words! Glad you enjoyed all the books.

We’ll have more of the FROSTBORN cast with SEVENFOLD SWORD (along with some new friends and enemies), and hopefully I can start on that next week.

There will definitely be 11 CLOAK GAMES books, but I haven’t made any firm decisions on the setting after that.

I do sleep some. Maybe not as much as I should. πŸ™‚
