It was a good entry. On another note it seems that earth’s biosphere is incredibly invasive. Both worlds have pines, deer and rabbits *smile* I couldn’t imagine that the effort of coming up with new plants and animals would be worth the time and effort. Although a dark elf could have some fun with nasty plants and would probably be called the Gardener or Herbalist.
5* review has been posted but the house of zon seems to take a couple of days before allowing them to be visible.

Thanks! Amazon tends to be really sluggish about non-KU books.

At some point it’s possible to really get lost in the weeds in worldbuilding, and so it’s best to just get on with the story.

Thought as much for the worldbuilding. As for the delays with reviews now that you mention it books authors have in ku go up quicker. Nice to have that little question answered. It’s only been happening over the last 12/15 months or so.

Amazon definitely has its thumb on the scales for KU, which is why the WRAITHSHARD series I’m starting next month will be all KU

*I’m about to swear, it’ll be funny but skip me if you don’t like swearing*

I read a description of a character once that was….”a badass that wrote a book for other badasses about how to be a badder badass.” That book is this book and it stars THIRD. Honestly I enjoyed Wraiths, but it IS kinda funny that Ridmark’s greatest role in this book was basically a cameo appearance. A totally appropriate cameo appearance, but a cameo none-the-less.

Although uhhh. I DID kinda wonder. So Ridmark can makes gates, and Arrander is marching south with an army. Or was anyway. Couldn’t Ridmark have sped up that process considerably? At least brought in some more Swordbearers or Magistiri to reinforce all three armies? Did I miss why he couldn’t again?

Thanks! Glad you liked the book.

The tricky part about writing a series with five main POV characters is that some of them are sometimes less important to the plot. So WRAITHS mostly focused on Third, and LEGIONS will focus more on Ridmark, Niall, and Moriah, with Third and Tyrcamber being more in the background.

Ridmark can open gates, but not for very long and Calliande isn’t exactly sure where Arandar’s army is. Plus, if Ridmark opens a gate, he can’t use the power of the Shield Knight that day, which would be a problem if Merovech or Aeliana shows up.

    Chapter 1 error
“But to the ghost elves, he was a villain from their history, one of the ancient lords who had kept the orcs as enslaved soldiers.”
