BLADE OF FLAMES progress update
I am now 50,000 words into BLADE OF FLAMES, which puts me on Chapter 13 of 23. Over halfway there!
So it’s time to share some details about the book!
It will take place in the Year of Our Lord 1588, about a hundred years after the end of SEVENFOLD SWORD: SOVEREIGN.
As you might imagine, Owyllain has changed a bit in a hundred years, as you can see from the new map attached to this post.
The book will have three point of view characters.
Talembur: the protagonist.
Marcobb: Captain of the Red Company, one of the Free Companies of mercenaries that have bedeviled Owyllain in recent years.
Ariaspa: A widow and the owner of the best (and, well, only) inn and tavern in the town of Deineria.

I’m very curious to learn how an island (and city) appeared off the coast in the century since the actions chronicled in Sevenfold Sword occured.
Sea compasses from Andomhaim after the Heptarchy war. The men of Owyllain never really sailed far enough from the coast to find the island before.
Does this mean that there are no more Ridmark stories ever,not good if it is the last.
I have to admit to you that I still miss my favourite character of all your books and that is Third such a brilliant addition,please bring her back somehow,please.
I’m only going to do three series at a time going forward, so perhaps I’ll have an idea for a Ridmark/Third one the next time I have a series slot open up.
