You know what would be hilarious? If you have Conner avoid the Inquisition, outwit/escape from Aravaleon, Morvilind, the freaking High Queen, Nadia, Riordan and everyone who wants to kill him. Be in perfect position to win it all, and then get waxed by Hailey.

The elements are actually all there; several people have told Nicholas his womanizing will get him killed, and he clearly hasn’t learned anything about underestimating women considering he’s cheating on a girl who can read minds and shoot lightning when she wants to. I would laugh so hard JM. SO. Hard.

The coke’s good, now go find Nadia brand Coffee.

I think it was Sherlock Holmes who said that a man always finds it hard to realize that he may have finally lost a woman’s love, however badly he may have treated her.

Hailey is actually a really fun character for me right now because I’m super curious how you’re planning on using her. She could be as I said earlier, the one who sucker punches Nicholas for his end, she could used as a sacrifice of some sort by Nicholas to show he really is a Very Bad Man. She could be the only one to escape the inevitable collapse of the rebels and be the one the Forerunner uses for HIS final plan (All immortal bad guys have plans it’s a complex). The last could be fun if for no other reason than it opens the door for a girl-on-girl battle as the series wraps up. Girls fights are always a plus.

What’s really fun is she could do all this as either a “good” guy or a bad guy. She could turn on the rebels or stay with them. All of those conclusions could work whether or not she remains loyal to Conner or not.

Or you could surprise me totally, you’ve done that a time or two. *cough* Halfdan

Glad you liked the character! The Bad Guy’s Girlfriend is a surprisingly popular trope – Harley Quinn comes to mind. Or all the Sherlock Holmes pastiches where Moriarty’s wife comes back for vengeance.
