No, that’s not the designation for a Borg drone. It means of I’ve written 7 of the 12 chapters for “Soul of Serpents”, the sequel to Demonsouled and Soul of Tyrants.

Time for some statistics. In June, I wrote 44,000 words of “Soul of Serpents”, which is an improvement over 37,000 in May. My goal for July is to see if I can push that up to 50,000 words. Actually, I’d be a really happy camper if I could finish the rough draft in July, but since I’m betting on a rough draft of 138,000 words, it doesn’t seem terribly likely.

Wow, that’s a long book. In the future, I think I’ll stick to shorter books. I’ll bet that Caina would lend herself to novella format really well…
