I really appreciated a comment I saw about reviews. They said if you got legit bad reviews it was because you advertised your book to the wrong people. I hadn’t considered how the elevator pitch and keywords could attract the wrong set of readers. Thanks for the great info!
Yeah, if your cover, description, and keywords (and even categories) inadvertently give the impression that your book is in a different genre than it actually is, that will definitely annoy some readers.
