So you got an ereader for Christmas? Congratulations! Though you’re likely wondering where you can find free books to read upon it.

Fortunately, I’ve got you covered.

DEMONSOULED is the first novel of my DEMONSOULED series, sword-and-sorcery tales chronicling the adventures of the knight Mazael Cravenlock as he wages war against serpent men, inhuman invaders, and other creatures. You can get it for free at Amazon.com, Barnes & Noble, iTunes, and Smashwords, and also at Amazon.co.uk.

CHILD OF THE GHOSTS is the first book of my “Ghosts” series, the adventures of Caina Amalas, an elite spy and assassin who fights rogue sorcerers, slave traders, corrupt lords, and anyone else who threatens to overthrow the Empire of Nighmar. It’s available for free at Amazon.com, Barnes & Noble, iTunes, and Smashwords, and also at Amazon.co.uk.

THE TESTING is the first novella in “The Third Soul” series, about Rachaelis Morulan, an apprentice mage in the corrupt Conclave of Araspan. It’s not free at Amazon, but you can get it for free at Barnes & Noble, iTunes, and Smashwords.

Hopefully, these free books should give you something enjoyable to read on your new ereader.

Well, I am going to start of by saying ive been an avid reader of Fantasy and Science Fiction for some time. I dont know if you’ll take the time to read this response, I just wanted to impart to you what you’ve done for me. Im in the Army (U.S.) and I purchased a Kindle for my deployment (im currently on it). I have a ‘library’ of my own, and often I re-read alot of the same material over and over again.

Well, on a search (I seek out new unfamiliar authors frequently) I stumbled across Demonsouled on Amazon, and placed the order for that, as well as several other free e-books. I generally read the first few chapters of a book to see if it captures me, and I will admit, at first I was a touch put off by how Mazael was so… confident, and could ‘kill’ anything, but I continued reading, and as things unfolded, and you explained more and more, I simply became enraptured by the plot.

Now, keep in mind, that the moment I realized the book continued, I immediately went to Amazon and purchased the next three books in the series. I am currently toward the beginning of the third book, and will likely have both the third and fourth book finished in the next couple of days.

What I am trying to impart to you, simply, is you now have an avid fan of your work. I have read many author’s, from Robert Jordan (I miss his writing, although Brian Sanderson is doing a good job of continuing it), David Drake, Anne McCaffrey (I adore her broad range of medium’s), David Eddings… the list continues. I feel sometimes, its good for someone to know that what they are doing is having an impact, and I wanted you to know, that I might never have stumbled on your work at all, had you not placed Demonsouled on the Amazon list for free. You are both kind, and an exceptional author, and I look forward to reading more of your work.

    Regards,

      Hi Ron,

Thanks for the kind words about DEMONSOULED – I’m glad you liked the books! I’m hoping to start writing the fifth one, SOUL OF SORCERY, either on or before June 1st.

Hope you come back safe and sound from your deployment.
