  • Hey Jonathan,
First off, congrats on HALF-ELVEN THIEF’s progress! The cover looks great!

I’d admire your ability to create your own covers, have & read you use Photoshop personally. Your characters & objects seem vividly realistic

I’m curious, do you draw each element yourself, or do you use 3D models for characters/items? & those backgrounds, are they creative commons images?

Your insights into creating awesome covers would be immensely valuable to me & other authors navigating the realm of book marketing 🙂

Thanks for sharing your creative journey, & I’m looking forward to the book’s upcoming release!

    Cheer,

Thanks! I assembled the cover for HALF-ELVEN THIEF in Photoshop from renders in Daz Studio and various stock photo collections I have purchased over the years. The font is Atten New, which I got as part of the Photoshop subscription.

No AI elements, since I’m not sure of their legality and I think Amazon is leaving themselves a backdoor to nuke AI content if the court rulings go against it.
