What’s up next?

Now that SHIELD OF BATTLE is out, what am I working on next?

My next main project is GHOST IN THE CORRUPTION, and I am 27,500 words into it. This will be the fifth book (of six) of the GHOST ARMOR series. Originally I intended to call it GHOST IN THE ASSASSINS, but I decided that was too similar to GHOST IN THE ASSEMBLY.

Also, when GHOST IN THE ASSEMBLY came out and I sent out my newsletter, naturally I used “GHOST IN THE ASSEMBLY now available” as the subject line for the email. Except, as many, many, many people pointed out, numerous email clients shorted that to “GHOST IN THE ASS-“. So that is the second reason I changed the name of GHOST IN THE ASSASSINS to GHOST IN THE CORRUPTION.

My secondary project is SHIELD OF POWER, the final book in THE SHIELD WAR series. I’m about 1,000 words into it, and when GHOST IN THE CORRUPTION is done, SHIELD OF POWER will switch to be my main project.

I’m also 83,000 words into STEALTH & SPELLS ONLINE: FINAL QUEST, the last book of STEALTH & SPELLS. In all honesty, I’m probably going to lose money on it, so I want to schedule it right after a book that will probably do well. So FINAL QUEST will be out sometime this summer.

In audiobook news, SHIELD OF DECEPTION (as excellently narrated by Brad Wills) is finished, and should be showing up on various audiobook stores before too much longer. Recording of GHOST IN THE ASSEMBLY (as excellently narrated by Hollis McCarthy) is underway.

For Nadia and Rivah books, I will get back to CLOAK MAGE and HALF-ELVEN THIEF after SHIELD WAR and GHOST ARMOR are done. Remember, I decided this year that I have too many unfinished series underway, and I wanted to focus up and get some of them done. Since I’m on the second-to-last book of GHOST ARMOR and the last book of THE SHIELD WAR, I think I’m making good progress on that front.

So that is what I am working on right now.

On a totally unrelated topic, I was very impressed by the OBLIVION remaster! I wasn’t expecting much. I really enjoyed OBLIVION back in the day. In fact, back in 2007, I spent several months saving up for a desktop PC that could run the game on anything above the Ultra Low graphic quality settings.

But the remaster is essentially the same game, but with a massive graphical upgrade and quite a few of the rough edges sanded off. Definitely worth trying if you enjoyed the original OBLIVION.

Thanks! I’m glad you enjoyed the book. I don’t have any plans for another DEMONSOULED series at the moment, but I want to finish SHIELD WAR and GHOST ARMOR before I commit to a new series anyway.
