WIZARD-ASSASSIN now underway!

Now that BLADE OF SHADOWS is published and the Thanksgiving holiday is over, what am I working on next?

It’s taken a year, but I’m finally getting back to the HALF-ELVEN THIEF series!

I am now 34,000 words into WIZARD-ASSASSIN, which will be the fifth book in the HALF-ELVEN THIEF series. This puts me on about Chapter 7 of 16. Though I’ve noticed readers generally prefer shorter chapters, so in the final draft I will split it up into more chapters. (And, to be fair, Chapter 5 ended up at like 11,500 words so I would have to split it up anyway.)

I think WIZARD-ASSASSIN will end up around 70,000 to 75,000 words, and if all goes well I hope to have it out in Kindle Unlimited before Christmas.

My secondary project is BLADE OF STORMS, the third book in the BLADES OF RUIN series, and I’m 4,500 words into that. If all goes well that will be the first book I publish in 2026.
