progress update
I usually listen to music on my headphones while I’m writing or editing, and on Thursday I noticed that the sound quality was much, much better than usual, the music sounding deeper and fuller and somehow richer.
I couldn’t make sense of it at first. Had my computer’s audio settings somehow changed? Was I in a really good mood and failed to realize it? Did my headphones have a SOUND BETTER button I had failed to realize existed? Had some hitherto unknown blockage drained from my ears?
Then I realized the obvious. It was the first cool day since May, and so I hadn’t turned on my office fan, and consequently the fan’s white noise was not constantly in the background.
Anyway! Perception failures aside, I finished the first round of edits on ELVEN-WARLOCK, and am 18% of the way into the second pass. I am really, really hoping I can finally get the book out before the end of next week if all goes well.
I am also 13,500 words into BLADE OF RIFTS, which will become my main project very soon.
Brad Wills is recording BLADE OF VISIONS in audiobook, and we should have some more news on that before much longer.
Meanwhile, let’s see the Table of Contents for ELVEN-WARLOCK!
