  • Interesting, what is the cost per book of doing this way? How will distribution be handled?

I’m going to do the distribution through CreateSpace – the only cost to me is a one-time $25 fee for distribution to non-Amazon sales channels, and however many page proofs I order at $8 a pop to make sure the formatting and such is good. (I wound up ordering three until I was happy.) The book will be priced at $11.99. I would have preferred a lower price, but for a book that size CreateSpace mandates a minimum price of at least $11.09. So I went with $11.99.

I wasn’t going to to any paper books, but I noticed that during the holidays, ebook sales dip while paper book sales go up. Which is not surprising, since people tend to buy ebooks for themselves, but paper books as gifts for others. So by the Christmas season in 2013, I’d like to have at least the first couple of books in DEMONSOULED and THE GHOSTS available in paper form.

The new paper version of DEMONSOULED is actually available off Amazon right now, but I’m going to hold off on announcing it until SOUL OF SKULLS is finished later this month.

  • Cool. You going to do all your books in print? I would probably get hung if I got paper copies of all of your books…just bought the rest of the Third Soul books.

Most of them, I think. Thanks for getting THE THIRD SOUL books! I’m hoping to do a full novel in the setting (though with different characters) later in the year.

  • Really interesting story line and setting. Lots of possibilities there. I’d like to see a full novel or two there.

    Huzzah!!!
I am very happy your going to go through with this! You know I’ll read your ebooks, but if given the chance, paperback is the way I’d go! Plus it does make giving your work as a gift possible.

??!? Hmm…though I have long since finished the ebook, this would make a nice edition to my collection…
