football fans

I am indifferent to football, whether professional, college, or amateur. But one of my brothers plays football, so I occasionally go to his games.

And here’s the thing about football fans…they like to shout out the obvious during the games. Like, the guy behind me, he kept shouting “PUT IT IN THE END ZONE!”

Like, seriously? Do you think guy with the ball doesn’t know that already? Like the guy with the ball hears that and thinks to himself “Oh my God! I never realized! THAT’S what I’m supposed to do with the ball. Put it in the end zone! No wonder we were losing! Thanks, anonymous guy!”

Or another guy kept yelling “DEEEE-FENSE!” whenever the team was on defense. How is this helpful? Undoubtedly the team is already cognizant of the fact that they are on defense.

Later, I found out this guy was actually a pastor. I wonder if people in his congregation yell “SEEEER-MON!” when he preaches.
