This is good overview of every single pyramid built by the ancient Egyptians, along with an in-depth look at the religious beliefs underlying the pyramids (apparently they were symbolical magical apparatuses designed to allow the Pharaohs to ascend to immortality in the Egyptian afterlife), and the social and economic organizations that allowed for the construction of the pyramids.

And good solid historical research, none of this “the pyramids were built by Atlanteans/space aliens/Cthulhu crap”. Men built the pyramids, with tools of wood and stone and copper, guided by nothing more than simple mathematics and mere human ingenuity.

No space aliens need apply.
