The books of Jonathan Moeller

science fiction

I just finished Chapter 7 of 10 of the third book of my upcoming science fiction series.

Once I finish the fourth book, I’m going to publish all of them at once.

I’ve been chipping away at them at about 100 to 200 words at a time since October.

Except for a couple of longer bursts. Like in March, I finished the last 20% of the 2nd book all in one go because I was waiting for a meeting to finish in the lobby of a college student union with my computer, no Internet, and nothing else to do.

That really is the key to writing productivity – go someplace with no Internet and hammer away at it.

Anyway, I do want to release the first four before the end of 2017. I had been hoping for summer, but I think October or November is more realistic.

I will be interested to see what your science fiction series will be about. I of course expect to enjoy it when I do read the books of the new series.

The main character is a privateer – think the owner of a small starship. Except that’s his front, and he’s actually a high-level operative for an intelligence organization, and his front as a privateer lets him fly around to trouble spots and take care of them.

I sort of envisioned the main character as “the opposite of James Bond.” By that I mean that James Bond is a suave, sophisticated English upper-class gentleman. The main character is more of a roughneck and a loner than Bond. He wouldn’t know what wine to drink with his meal and wouldn’t care if he did.

I’ve never released four books at the same time before, so I’m looking forward to trying some new promotional approaches. If all goes well, I think I will put them out in October.

First the series sounds fun and interesting. Next I wish you well with the overall experiment.
