CLOAK GAMES: BLOOD CAST underway

I’ve now started working on CLOAK GAMES: BLOOD CAST, the ninth book in the CLOAK GAMES series. I’m planning to have it out in either February or March, depending on how things go in December and January.

What will CLOAK GAMES: BLOOD CAST be about? It will be about Nadia Moran and Russell Moran. Also, everything will go wrong at once. 🙂

My plan for the first half of 2018 is to alternate between SEVENFOLD SWORD and CLOAK GAMES until I reach the 11th and final CLOAK GAMES book sometime this summer.

Great news…. a really great series and nicely poised after the last book!

The epilogue of HAMMER BREAK does telegraph what BLOOD CAST is going to be about. 🙂

No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No!!!!!

Say it ain’t so! You can’t stop at a mere 11 books! When was the last time you wrote such a short series? Years and years ago, no?

DEMONSOULED had 7, and MASK OF THE DEMONSOULED had 3.

  • And weren’t those written years and years ago (as in 3 years)?

Think about this, he isn’t saying he’s done with Nadia. Just Cloak Games. Mazael’s had 2 series. Ridmark’s had 2 series. Caina’s had 3 (AS IS ONLY PROPER!). Nadia can always make a comeback, hook up with Riordan for some more worthwhile exploits, actually that’s the exciting bit. If there was a second Nadia series…..what would it be about?

    • So the next series will be Cloak Exploits or something like that? If so, no problem.

        I might do that. I’ve plotted #9, #10, and #11, but I haven’t 100% decided how it’s going to end yet.

That’s true. If all goes well and BLOOD CAST comes out in February, it’ll be six months since HAMMER BREAK. Still, it’s been over 75 months since A DANCE WITH DRAGONS, so it could be worse. 🙂

I’m currently reading GHOST IN THE GLASS and decided to look and see when to expect your next CLOAK GAMES book. I was really glad to see that I won’t have long to wait. I was even more excited to learn that next year you’ll be primarily alternately concentrating on Ridmark and Nadia. I love Caina, but I’ve developed a deeper fondness for the other two. And by the way, for as long of a series that the FROSTBORN series was, if you can do a sequel series to it , you most definitely can do a sequel series to CLOAK GAMES………….PLEASE!?!?!?!?!?

Thanks! I’m glad you enjoyed the books.

I haven’t decided if I’m going to do a sequel series to CLOAK GAMES or not. To be honest, it’s my weakest-performing series, but I do like the world. So we’ll see!
