Christmas sale SF/F books!
Some author acquaintances of mine have books on sale for Christmas, and I thought I would share them here!
L. Jagi Lamplighter’s Rachel Griffin series is a bit like Harry Potter meets Narnia meets HP Lovecraft, and on December 20th and 21st it is free on Amazon US, Amazon UK, Amazon CA, and Amazon AU.
Author Brian Niemeier has concluded his epic science fiction/horror Soul Cycle series with on Amazon US, Amazon UK, Amazon CA, and Amazon AU.
The first book in Brian Niemeier’s Soul Cycle series, which I would sum up as “Space Pirates Escape From Hell”, is temporarily on sale for $0.99 USD on Amazon US, Amazon UK, Amazon CA, and Amazon AU.

Ok thanks. I’ll keep going for another chapter or two to see if it grabs me. I generally prefer your style where you start full steam ahead with action and plot direction and then fill in world details and character development as the story unfolds. The 1st 2 chapters of Griffin #1 are nothing but setting and character description s and being impatient, I was definitely starting to lose interest.
It is a slow starter – I think it was written for teen girls, so it spends more time on Rachel’s emotional state than I would in a book.
But I think Jagi and I write very different kinds of books, so trying to compare them might be like comparing apples to socket wrenches. Like, Rachel Griffin and Nadia Moran are both wizards, and I’m only on Chapter 5 of 14 of CLOAK GAMES: BLOOD CAST, but in the first five chapters of that book Nadia fires more bullets than Rachel will in her entire life. 🙂
