cover art

I wrote a mystery/thriller novel in 2007, had a bunch of agents and publishers pass on it, and eventually forgot about it. But now it’s been on my mind again for, er, obvious reasons. So as an experiment, I worked up some cover art:

What do you think? Does it work as the cover for a mystery/thriller novel? Or does it put off too much of a “fringe militia rambling manifesto” vibe?

  • Yes. It does give a bit of the ‘fringe militia’ vibe. Maybe you could put a lightning strike in the background, or put the weapon in a glass of water…. you know, typical thriller type book covers. 😉
